28/10/03 The Towers are recording! Its true! The recording of our, as yet untitled, debut EP will take place at the marvellous Cava Studios on the 30th November 2003. We expect to record between 3 and 4 originals so knowing the way we kick the arse off songs it will probably last about half an hour.......well atleast 12 minutes anyway! As usual inspiration is low in camp Towers so we need your suggestions for titles and artwork, any ideas post them on the cock or email us at towerstickets@hotmail.com and I will post your artwork on the site. 25/09/03 – One thing that is sure to be taken from Saturdays gig with Little Hait and Three Franks is…The Vale, what a lovely specimen! The gig went really well for us, Young Niall didn’t even break a string (which im sure you’ll agree is incredible!). We’re now all looking forward to getting some gigging in with new vocalist ‘Davros the Grey’, im sure its emotional folks, but Sat night was our personal send-off to singing, gone are the days of sitting with your hands on your ears listening to Tower and Tron smash windows and pint glasses alike with their ‘Distinctive’ voices!! Ahh the memories!

15/09/03 Much has changed in Towers land since we last spoke, most importantly we have acquired the singing talents of one David Mansouri, henceforth to be known simply as 'Davros'! Today was only his second jam sesh with The Towers, yet it was voted by all members as THE best Towers jam ever, so it just goes to show what a difference a vocalist makes. In other news there should be more details on T5 flowing from this very site in the coming weeks with rumours of a Towers christmas bonanza rife in the music press. Oh yeah and we wrote a new song today, preliminarily titled 'Blue Load' however with such quality titles as 'the stix effect II' and 'shoulder lickers anonymous' floating around, no-one is quite sure how it will end up! We also kinda finished G-funk's first song which began with four simple notes on a bass a changed into a beast of a stadium rock song which will blow your socks off! The more observamt amoung you will notice that with todays 2 additions to the set list, we now have the magic number of 7 songs, absolute insanity! anyways peace out and see you soon, Tower

25/08/03 Yesterday The Towers enjoyed a great day out at Glasgow green rocking out with excellent bands such as Foo fighters and The Red Hot Chilli Peppers and even though for some bizarre reason we were not aloud to go backsatge and hang with the bands (apparently the doorman had never heard of The Towers??!!) it was still a splendid day. Also, we have decided to enlist the help of Shaun Love to design and run our new website after Towers disasterous attempts almost caused the entire internet to melt-down in horror!!

23/08/03 Towers fans rock!! A big thank you to all the hard core fans who rocked out with us on thursday night and made the gig such a great laugh. We all had a tremendous night and it was good to finally air some of our own songs, we hope you liked them! Also, a huge thank you to Fergie, Kano and Sned for selling tickets and helping out on the night and also to the man the myth the legend.....BEN who managed to single-handedly sell almost 100 tickets.....NOT!! cheers anyway mate!
17/08/03 The Towers are pleased to announce that up and coming Glasgow alternative rock group Irrelevant will be supporting them at the Ski Club on Thursday 21st August.

13/08/03 Yes Towers Fans!! Jammin was exceptional today and despite the now obligatory early exit by da Gaylord, we still managed to write yet another song, which brings our total to an incredible 5 Towers written songs!! Its getting insane! We're all super stoked for gigging on thursday and it should be a great night so snap up the remaining tickets while you can!!

07/08/03 Its official, the first of hopefully many 'intimate' gigs with The Towers is finally happening at Bearsden Ski Club on Thursday 21st August. There will be cheap drink galore and, of course, the obligatory post band kareoke, to make this a memorable thursday night. Tickets are priced £2 and are available from any of the band members or the bar at the ski club, however you'll have to snap them up fast as we only have 100 to sell! Here's the details, doors at 7pm, first band (TBA) 8:30pm, The Towers 9:15pm, Kareoke 10pm, close 12pm. Highly advisable to get there early so as to make best use of the drinks promo's!! Tell all your Over-18 friends to come along and join in with The Towers experience! Rawk on amigos!

15/07/03 Well as you can see by the lack of news recently there hasnt been much happening in Towersworld. Most of the Towers are enjoying a well earned summer break, but rest assured the pace will pick up when we return.....if we can fit it in between all the bouts of binge drinking!! Rumours are rife about T5 but nothing is planned yet, however do expect quite a few suprises in terms of line up, I shall say no more nudge nudge, wink wink! Hopefully going to be gigging at the ski club real soon with our sisters in crime Frank the Loser, and there is also the possiblity of a gig in St Andrews once Uni starts again. The Towers on tour, what a thought! We will be expeting a large travelling support!! Oh yeah, finally, the new towers website is being created as we speak, but its incredibly hard to work out what to do so the pace is pretty slow right now. 05/05/03 The Towers are going Metal!! Worked on a song today that has four words....'War of the Worlds' and its definatley the most un punk rock song we have ever played! It is however insanely great and may well become the greatest song ever written.....maybe! In other news tron now holds the record for the most layers of clothing ever worn at a jam sesh, gaylord revealed his love for plastic chickens and his ability to play castle wolfenstein style drums with one in hand, Stixer came up trumps once again with an outstanding array of cake and tower worked out how to walk out alis door without breaking anything! Also involved in the practice were, a) a purple kiddies umbrella, b) a brannigans eating contest, c) Tron forgetting how to play songs, d) G illeaglly moving the head restraint whilst the towermobile was in motion, and finally.......e) Marilyn Manson!!! At a towers jam session!!! What has the world come to??!

24/04/03 Towers jamming today was something of a white stripes affair with only tower and stix attending, but incredibly we wrote a whole song, lyrics and all! Therefore we have decided to scrap both g and tron and move on as a duo.....why i oughta!! But seriously though things are sounding good and we're all jamming tomorrow so hopefully we'll have nailed a few more songs by the next time I post. On a lighter note, i did manage to destroy one on alis plant pots with a ill advised 'miss the front door step move', luckily my amp broke my fall.....and also the pot, the replacement is in the post Mrs Stix!!

16/04/03 Yesterday was something of a landmark jam sesh for us as for the first time we worked on our own songs, two infact, and even a cheeky wee FTL cover....and also a third song which according to niall is nabbed but the rest of us agreed, 'plagurism IS the way forward!!' G was in exceptional form, not only can he now slap all four bass strings, but he also successfully devised an ingenious plan which involved sneaking out to practice while fooling his mum into thinking he was studying....great lad!!

14/04/03 Hey rockers, the photos from T4 are almost ready to be viewed. When they are, all u need to do is head to our new photo centre by clicking on the the 'pics' option on the menu and following the links. In more exciting news, the towers are jamming tomorrow and are having their first bash at song writing, so it should be quite an eventful day! As usual, we cant jam for long cos G needs to be back for his tea!!

19/03/03 Well I think its fair to say that the Cathouse experience was more than enjoyable for all concerned! Credit to the soundman and stage people for making even us sound good! Hope everyone had a rockingly good time and the pictures are developing as we speak so expect more like the new one in the bottom right of the screen. Thanks to everyone who made the night possible and thanks to the rockers who turned up in their hundreds to view the music spectacle of the century! 05/03/03 Yet another jam session today towers fans and it lasted all of 30mins! We have a new and improved set for y'all so I hope it goes down well. The new merch is looking splendiferous and indeed most of it has been sold...but thats no reason to stop buying! We've enlisted the help of Shaun, a good friend of the band and a veritable computer genius, to develop a great new photo page for all u rockers out there, It should be up on the site very soon so keep checking back.

24/02/03 With T4 fast approaching the towers couldnt be in better shape, the set list is shaping up nicely and more importantly tickets are selling almost as fast as hotcakes! Some bad new in that 'The Line Changes' have pulled out of the gig can be countered with the new merch designs which can be found in the 'merch section', check it NOW and order early to avoid disappointment!

14/02/03 Ordered the beanie hats today so they will be available from next week priced 6. They come in five rocking varieties and examples of each can be found in the 'Merch' section of the site. Also snap up your T4 tickets soon, we're doing a roaring trade these days!

11/02/03 T4 is getting close people, are you excited yet? four weeks on friday, better get jamming! The Towers have almost worked out a set list however practicing has been postponed due to nialltrons exams and the other members working with their side project 'Alan Baxter and the Nasal Sprays' but all will be right in a couple of weeks. Woah!! A big congrats to Maxine for putting on the tremendously rocking Maxfest on Friday night, also FTL rawked!! Rock on

04/01/03 Happy New Year Towers Fans! Hope the festive period went well and your in for some top gig action over the coming months. Towers 4 has hit a small hitch in that we cant get a local hall in March, however this setback may become a blessing in diguise as we are now involved in discussions with some of the biggest clubs in Glasgow, I'll keep you all posted! Our first jam session since the gig failed miserably due to Gaylords bass antics, big Kennybopps bass just wasnt up to the severe pounding that Gaylord gives to the top string, ROCK ON! Not much news on the gig front apart from the possibility of Towers 4 in late feb/early March 2003...and something big for Christmas 2003 (keep that hush hush!!). 24/08/02 The countdown officially commences! With just 7 days to go before the gig we have got an outrageous amount of work to do! Ticket Sales are on the up but we still need to sell alot more if we're going to hit the 300 mark. You know what to do people!

10/08/02, Just been to a gig at Westerton to see some of the support bands, it rocked and we sold some tickets, Excellent! Keep buying tickets people! Oh yeah, bit concerned about tis whole noise level thing, il be sure to sort it for the gig.

07/08/02, First jam session went off without a hitch, except that Gaylord had to be home by lunch! New songs sound great.

06/08/02, Ordered Hoodies and Tshirts today so get your orders in soon, for more infromation look in the 'T and M' section. Oh yeah and although you may think that the date is pretty much THE most important part of a ticket, the Towers have taken the radical step of printing DATE-LESS tickets. (Its because we rock, not coz anyone messed up...honest!)

29/07/02, Towers 3: 'the Fellowship of the Towers' is confirmed for 31st August, venue Kessington Hall. As you can see we decided to scrap the rest of the news section, we wanna keep it simple!

We did have more old news before this, but it got lost somewhere in the time/space continu-um along with gaylords rare collection of alan titchmarsh shaped walkers crisps, needless to say the world is a lesser place without them!
